Dear Diomidis,

Thank you for writing Code Reading. I am currently inhaling heaps of code and I would be wasting incredible amounts of time if I hadn't learned some of your amazing tips.

Please remind me to buy you beer, wine or whatever you consider helpful for writing more books.

I will now move your book slightly to the left on my bookshelf and henceforth refer to it as "The Saint Diomidis". It will proudly stand next to other Great Tomes such as the various Saints Richard, the Saint Kirk and the Saint Denis.

Dear Philip,

Many thanks for your (too) kind words.  I keep one copy of Code Reading, on a nearby shelf for looking up things in a hurry, and one on its proper place, near "The Practice of Programming", "Code Complete", "Programming Pearls", "The Elements of Programming Style, and "Design Patterns".  In case you've missed it, the sequel to Code Reading, Code Quality, was published this year.
