After the devsummit this afternoon, we went for dinner to a grill-your-own place. This no doubt has a really cool name in Japanese. I have to learn it. Slightly more pricy than my previous culinary experiences here so far, but definitely worth it! Loads of food and very, very tasty.
Need to remember my book tomorrow for Kirk and George to sign. I've finally remembered to bring it to a conference! Halfway across the world too. :-)
More BSDy things tomorrow. Fun fun fun!

I gave my Detangling & Debugging tutorial here at AsiaBSDCon this morning. It went significantly better than the talk-version I gave at MeetBSD last year!
Originally, I wrote the tutorial for four hours, but then it turned out I only had 2.5 hours, so I did some significant snipping. Judiciously and successfully, it turns out. Last minute I also decided to do the .gdbinit walkthrough rather than the ddd one because it transpired that awesome has a problem with floating applications on multiple monitors. I need to look into fixing that.
My audience was small but attentive. I think they got most of what I was saying, though I fear I still might have been talking a little bit too fast. Only the native-English-speaking attendee asked questions during the talk, the Japanese came up to me afterwards. Apparantly, that's a cultural thing.
Lunch was just around the corner in a very Japanese place. By the end of this trip, I think I will have a dent in my skull from all the ceilings I've bumped into. I'm starting to get used to the tatami-mats though!
I'm typing this at the devsummit, where I find that "learning Japanese" is something I need to put on my list of things to do. If George and Warner can do it (not to mention millions of Japanese), I should be able to do it too!
Currently, we're fixing suspend and resume issues.
