Number of keys signed: 88 Number of signatures received: 46
(people, not uids)
Of course, it's only been a month since the keysigning event, but it's a pretty bleak statistic. Experience shows that very, very few signatures roll in much more than a month after an event.
I am aware that keysigning is dreadfully boring, but if I can make the effort, you can too! If you were at the keysigning event at FOSDEM, and your list of keys is starting to gather dust - just sit down and do the signing bit.
Thanks everyone who has already done their bit. Pat yourselves on the back.
More madness from the Catholic sect. This time in Germany. (source) This is eerily close to home...
In the town of Fulda, somewhere in the sticks in Germany, a storeowner rents her building from the local representatives of the Catholic sect. In her rental contract, the sect forbids her from selling condoms, forcing her to send customers to competing stores.
Not only does the Catholic sect mess with the minds of people, now it's also messing with commerce. I can understand house-owners adding 'no pets' to their rental contracts, but 'no condoms' is not compatible with life in the 21st century.
I highly recommend birth control to members of the Catholic sect. The faster we can remove their backwards genes from the gene pool, the better off society will be. Alternatively, I'm told "priesthood" in this sect also implies a ban on reproduction. This works too. Whatever stops the madness.
On a positive note, tourists seem to be appropriately ridiculing the sect:
But the issue has at least made the store something of a local novelty – one Fulda tour guide told DPA that some tourists even take pictures of the drugstore while being shown around.
When will these people learn that listening to the voices in their heads is nuts? If they really want to listen, they should do it in the privacy of their own (thick) skulls instead of disrupting society.
