I just got to work this morning, and I found an invoice for the renewal of an SSL certificate. Nothing particularly interesting about this. Other than the fact that I already received an invoice for this renewal last week, and that this morning's invoice differs only in the amount they'd like me to pay.
Same invoice-number, same date, same pay-by date (15 september), same items. Only difference is an 'administrative cost', which has zero cost on the first invoice, and 5EUR on the second one. If the bill was overdue, I could see where this came from, though I would expect them to send me a reminder, not a copy of the invoice (with the same number and date) with the price updated.
Very fishy. But it gives me something to get annoyed about. A guy needs that on Monday morning. :-)
In other news, there was also an invoice for -16.20EUR in the mail. I would call something like that a 'credit note', not an invoice, but there you go...
